Clinical particulars:
First-choice antibiotic for the monotherapy of moderate and serious infections caused
by aerobic and anaerobic Gram-negative bacteria resistant to other antibiotics:
- severe lower respiratory tract infections, including nosocomial pneumonia, aspiration pneumonia, pleural empyema and lung abscesses
- severe infections of ear, nose and throat caused poly-resistant bacteria - intraabdominal infections, including biliary tract infections, community-acquired and post-operative peritonitis
- pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, and other infections of female genital tract
- complicated forms of urinary tract infections
- infections of the skin and skin structures caused by resistant mixed microflora
- bone and joint infections
- sepsis
- infections in patients with granulocytopenia, including febrile neutropenia
