Fusidanat®
(sodium fusidate)
FUSIDANAT ® for Injection is anti-staphylococcal agent with ability to penetrate tissue, including bone. A single intravenous infusion of 500 mg FUSIDANAT® administered over a two hour period produces serum levels of 30 - 45 micrograms/mL within one to two hours. FUSIDANAT® is excreted mainly in the bile, little or none being excreted in the urine. FUSIDANAT® possesses excellent activity against gram-positive cocci, including methicillin-resistant (MRSA and MRSE) strains. Also has good activity against Corinebacterium spp., gram-negative cocci and some gram-negative bacteria (Neisseria meningitides, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Moraxella spp., Haemophylus spp.).

• respiratory tract infections (incl. infections in patients with cystic fibrosis)
• endocarditis
• bloodstream infection
• skin and soft tissue infections
• bone and Joint Infections
Pharmaceutical form:A pack of two vials:
FUSIDANAT® IV contains
sodium fusidate 500 mg as a dry powder;
BUFFER contains 10 mL sterile phosphate-citrate buffer solution (pH 7,3 - 7,7).
STERILE, INTRAVENOUSLY
Use on doctor’s prescription.
Store in a dry place protected from light at temperature not higher than 25°C.
